Achievements & Congratulations

Completed AFF: ⭐️ Yan  ⭐️ Emanuele  ⭐️ Daniel  ⭐️ Manuel

Wings Out Weekly (Double Issue!)

Two weeks of action, achievements, and amazing memories! From fresh faces in the classroom to students smashing through their AFF stages, and a massive lineup of Tandems — the DZ was buzzing. Here’s the round-up from this double feature.

🏁 First Jump Course
  • On 9 August, Peter signed up for a 15 Jump Package.
  • On 11 August, Kade joined an FJC session but couldn’t jump due to the weather (your turn is coming soon!).
  • On 16 August, we welcomed Joshua and Ko-Ting (Tiffany), both signing up for 20 Jump Packages.
Student Progression

We had plenty of new students getting into the skies:

  • Danny (Stage 1)
  • Joshua (Stages 1 & 2)
  • India (Stages 1 & 2)
  • Ko-Ting (Stages 1–3)
  • Arta (Stages 1–5)
  • Alan (Stages 1–5)
  • Peter (Stages 1–8)
  • Yan (Stages 1–9) 🎉 Congratulations on finishing your AFF Course at Ramblers!
  • Emanuele (Stages 1–9) 🎉 Another brand-new graduate — congrats!

Continuing students kept pushing ahead:

  • Sze Ching (Stages 2–7)
  • Nikita (Stage 3)

And three more completions to celebrate:

  • Daniel (Stages 5–9) — well done on finishing!
  • Manuel (Stages 4–9) — congrats on graduating!
Both Daniel and Manuel went straight onto their B-Rels — no time wasted!
☀️ Coach & B-Rel Jumps

There was non-stop coaching and progression across both weeks, with B-Rels and refreshers keeping the skies busy:

Daniel, Manuel, Aysha, John, Jake, Samuel F., Jared, Luke, Samuel K., Leanne, Angus, Francisco, Mitchell, Boxiao, and Marcos all jumped with coaches. Jules completed a refresher coach jump. And special mention to Jennifer – back into the sport after a 20-year break — welcome back, legend!

Huge thanks to our awesome coaches — Bec, Toddy, Marcia, Li, Marcee, Wayne, Lisa, and Ash — for guiding students and novices with skill, safety, and plenty of fun!

🪂 Tandems

The week of 11–17 August was absolutely massive for Tandem skydives! A huge round of applause for everyone who took the leap:

Stephen, Drew, Gerda, Rebecca, Caleb, Po Liang, Ruby, Holly, Thierry, Angela H., Thomas, Shelly, Jessica, Sharyn, Angela D., Chien, Terone, Paul, Carmen, Adrian, Kent, Timothy, and Robert — who celebrated his 5th Tandem with Ramblers. Absolute legend status!

💬 Community Feedback

From Grant (posted on the Skydive Ramblers Toogs Funjumpers Facebook group, 13/8):

And our fun jumpers enjoyed a couple of cool events over both weekends: On the 8th August Aaron Fels ran the Canopy Fundamentals Course, and 16-17 August we had the BURN + NACHOS: Angle Camp happening. Great fun and major progression all around – in freefall and under canopy.

Cheers to everyone who made it out, helped out, jumped in, or just brought the good vibes. Here’s to blue skies ahead…

Catch you in freefall,
The Ramblers Crew 🪂

BURN + NACHOS Angle Camp – August 15–17

The BURN + NACHOS Angle Camp lit up Skydive Ramblers this August with three incredible days of jumping, progression, and high vibes!

We were treated to perfect weather all weekend, allowing us to complete the full schedule of jumps. Across the three days, we welcomed 22 participants, structured into six groups, and led by coaches Vincent Brazier, Ryan Dudderidge, and Alvaro Abreu.

The camp delivered exactly what it promised — safe progression, small-group coaching, detailed debriefs, and a strong sense of community both on the ground and in the sky. Feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, making this one of the most successful Nachos-run camps to date.

A huge thank you goes to SQPC, APF, the Toogoolawah Skydivers Club, and the Ramblers coach slot program for helping make this event possible and keeping it affordable for flyers.

We can’t wait to bring even more spice to the skies at the next edition of Nachos angle camps! 🌶️🪂

📧 Matthias D. (Tandem, 17th Aug.): “Hi Guys, I would like to thank you guys for an amazing experience for us all! You couldn’t ask for better staff and even the general atmosphere of everything there is a clear indication of the fantastic culture there and that is something you just can’t get overnight.

I personally am deathly afraid of heights so I did not eat all day and got myself all worked up and was ready to back out all the way up until the door on the plane opened but the calming and accommodating nature of your staff just the general feel of everybody there allowed me to follow through and have one of the best experiences I have ever had!

So I’m still afraid of heights but I will be coming back and doing this again (we are already planning the next one!)
Thank you again!”

An absolute Blast. Totally exhilarating. Sarah, my diving buddy was totally professional and competent. She rehearsed my moves. Gave me an opportunity to bail (which was never going to happen but would have been appreciated by a possible nervous type), was a very good tourist guide on the climb out so fabulous experience all round.
Thanks to everyone there.
Cheers, Carol.
