Ramblers Report

Another beautiful week in paradise! Bit of a slower week with jumping, but we still managed to get a few loads in for our students who all had a great week learning new skills. A few mid-week Tandems popped in for a jump, congrats too all.

Fisch ran a canopy course on Friday for some more experienced fun jumpers. Miles joined the crew over the weekend and ran a high-performance pond camp which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. A few old faces were seen back at the DZ and in the sky.

The weather has dropped to single digits of a night time so our indoor fire has finally been lit keeping everyone nice and warm. Bring some marshmallows and a blanket and see you all next week.

Saturday saw a big crew in the classroom: Jay and Phillip started their First Jump Course with Instructor Bill, and we’re looking forward to seeing them back in the sky soon. Lachlan and Olavo also completed their FJC theory and wasted no time — both made their first jump the very next day! Meanwhile, Sabrina and Dane completed their Refresher sessions and are ready to jump back in.

Gordon and Tian Cong both made their first jumps — welcome to the sky tribe!

⭐ Student Progression

Midweek training was solid — on WednesdayMorgan completed AFF Stages 3 and 4, and on Friday, Michael followed suit with his Stages 3 and 4. Over the weekend, Jack also progressed with Stages 3 and 4. Loving the momentum, crew — keep it going!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Morgan Macmanus: “Let me just get this out of the way first and foremost, I’m no athlete!

I wish I’d listened to old mate Paul Chivers years ago and taken his advice on Toogs being the best dropzone in Aus and not pushed for a more local spot to do my static line course closer to home! Ramblers is honestly full of the most supportive and stoked folks ay! Wayno, Toddy, Sara, Shani, Angela, Coleen so thankful for you guys! I’m so grateful for my buddy Sam‘s secondary push of how good it was out there, all these years later, that landing area… Bro.. it’s like a foot spa, mud mask, I actually love it! I’ve only been out there a couple times and they already got me feeling like family.

Bills ground course was the best I’ve taken, so much miticulous care and planning, nothing felt gate kept! It was a lot longer than any other ground course (4) I’ve sat threw but I actually felt absorbed and involved in the learning step by step the entire duration.

These guys truly care about you, trust, I’m no special case, I can see the encouragement and care of everyone out there.

The love is real buds, friends for life!”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jacka: “I got my husband a skydive for his 60th birthday at Skydive Ramblers. Check in was very easy and staff and club members were friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend Ty enough for how at ease he made my husband feel with his jokes and sense of humor. He really went above and beyond making sure my husband had a great experience. Would easily recommend this company for your skydive adventure.”

Bill, Just a note to say thanks to you mate for your continued support it was a great trip. I would also like to bring to your leadership teams attention the exceptional support provided by Andy who did the tandem jump with a great friend of mine, Julie. To say Julie was petrified on the lead up to the big day would be a huge understatement. I had my doubts that she would actually exit on the day. I put her decision to exit firmly in the hands of Andy who excelled in calming her down, reassuring her whilst having a bit of a laugh along the way. The manner in which he guided her through what was to her a daunting task was oustanding to watch. He should be commended not only for his flight skills but also his raport and interaction with the customer. I was not surprised to find out he had a military background. Ramblers should be proud to have such fine men on their books as you and Andy, Bill.

“exceptional support”, “reassuring… whilst having a bit of a laugh” – by John D. – Julie’s Tandem
