Drop Zone Action

Another solid week at the Drop Zone with Students, Tandems, B-Rels, and Fun Jumpers making the most of the conditions. While no students wrapped up Stage 9 this week, there was plenty of strong progression across AFF, coaching, and fun jumping, with several jumpers edging ever closer to finishing their courses.

Cheers to everyone who made it out, helped out, jumped in, or just brought the good vibes. Here’s to blue skies ahead…

Catch you in freefall,

The Ramblers Crew 🪂

🏁 First Jump Course

On Saturday the 24th of January, Bill ran a First Jump Course classroom session with Tyler, Guy, and Florian from Byron Bay, all getting set for their upcoming jumps. Brenton, Ryan, Matthias, and Lachy also sat in as Refreshers to brush up on their theory before returning to the sky.

Student Progression

This week we welcomed Guy to the skies, who completed AFF Stages 1 and 2, while Kirk made a strong start by progressing through Stages 1 to 3. Florian continued his training with Stage 2, Andres advanced through Stages 2 and 3, Dhene worked through Stages 3 to 5, and Isabella progressed with Stages 4 and 5. Ryan continued his AFF journey with Stage 3 and Stage 6, Carlos pushed ahead with Stages 7 and 8 and is now very close to finishing his course, and Calenmade great progress completing Stages 2 through to 7.

Thanks to our Instructors for looking after the students and keeping everyone safe in freefall and under canopy, Toddy, Millie, Wayne, Li, Robin, Lisa, and Natisha.

Tandem Skydivers

We welcomed Brooke, Matthew, Kathryn, and Joost for Tandem skydives this week – congratulations to all for taking the leap of faith.

Big cheers to Matt who took the Video/Photo Package to capture that unforgettable first jump! And an extra thanks to everyone who left reviews – your words inspire the next generation of skydivers.

Thanks to our Tandem Masters Ty and Robin, and a special mention to Ben, who completed a training jump with Tom playing passenger.

B-Rels, Coach & Fun Jumps

Coach jumps were completed by Savannah, Jordan, Craig, Brenton and Brendan knocking out B-Rel jumps, while Kim, Matthias and Lachlan returned to the sky with Refresher jumps. Thanks to our coaches Doug, Natisha, Li, and Alex for supporting everyone’s progression.

The weekend saw a buzzing Drop Zone with Fun Jumpers, with the KEEGAN + NACHOS Angle Camp running across Saturday and Sunday. The Flying Nachos teamed up with Keegan Dwyer to deliver a camp focused on safe progression, strong fundamentals, and proper angle flying, with Noah Russell, the newest addition to the Nachos crew, also coaching clean flying, structure, and solid progression. The camp catered to all experience levels, from jumpers new to angle flying through to those refining skills and building toward bigger, more technical angle events later in the year. Go Nachos!🌶

Keegan + Nachos: Angle Camp

“Keegan + Nachos: Angle Camp kicked off the year at Skydive Ramblers in true Nacho style, with blue skies, smooth operations, and plenty of froth.

With Keegan and Noah shredding it with their groups, the weekend delivered solid progression, clean flying, and a strong focus on safe fundamentals. The vibes were high, the cheap jokes energy hit an all-time peak, and the weather couldn’t have been better. Across the weekend, groups completed 7 jumps on Saturday and 4 jumps on Sunday, making the most of every load despite the mighty summer heat.

Saturday wrapped up with a pub dinner followed by classic NachoTV, reviewing the day’s footage and sharing laughs well into the evening. It was an amazing event catching up with people we love and marks the start of what’s shaping up to be a great year.

This camp is one of a series of events leading toward the end-of-year NACHO GRANDE BIG WAY.”
