Drop Zone Action

Another big Australia Day week at the Drop Zone with Students, Tandems, B-Rels, and Fun Jumpers making the most of the action. Huge congratulations go to ⭐️Calen, who finished his AFF Course with Stages 8 and 9, and to ⭐️Luke, who powered through Stages 4 to 9 to complete his AFF Course as well – outstanding effort from both of you.

The weekend also delivered plenty of fun jumping with the Belly Bash load organising event on Saturday and TSC Star Crests on Sunday, where ⭐️Tamblyn, ⭐️Cayleb, and ⭐️Dominic all achieved their first signed Star Crest jumps.

Cheers to everyone who made it out, helped out, jumped in, or just brought the good vibes. Here’s to blue skies ahead…

Catch you in freefall,
The Ramblers Crew 🪂

🏁AFF Course Students

We welcomed several new skydivers to the skies this week, with Thomas, Hayden, and Yichao completing AFF Stages 1 and 2, while Tyler, Lalita, Dustin, and Isaac progressed strongly through Stages 1 to 3. Nikolaus continued his course with Stage 3, Reshon advanced through Stages 5 and 6, and Calen wrapped up his AFF journey with Stages 8 and 9. Luke had an impressive week, punching out Stages 4 through to 9 and officially completing his AFF Course.

Thanks to our Instructors for looking after the students and keeping everyone safe in freefall and under canopy, Toddy, Robin, Natisha, Wayne, Marc, Lisa, and Millie.

Tandem Skydivers

We welcomed our Tandem jumpers 🪂Zoe & 🪂Angus, along with 🪂Flynn, 🪂Ricky, 🪂Benjamin, 🪂John, 🪂Hannah, and 🪂Hoiki, who captured the moment with Lisa running Handicam.

Ricky shared this feedback after his jump: “Everything was fantastic. A must do experience, will do again when I can.”

Big cheers to those who took the Video/Photo Package to capture that unforgettable first jump! And an extra thanks to everyone who left reviews – your words inspire the next generation of skydivers.

Thanks to our Tandem Masters Robin, Lisa, Matthew, and Ty for another great week of Tandems.

B-Rels & Coach Jumps

The week kicked off with a public holiday on Monday – Australia Day 🦘, and the Learning Curve Camp was in full swing right through to Friday. These camps are all about recognising how important it is to continue training, refresh skills, and keep learning, with the right mix of information, coaching, and ongoing support. Designed as a personalised boogie-style coaching camp, Learning Curve Camps are tailored specifically for beginners and low-experience jumpers who want to consolidate their skills, build confidence, and progress safely in the sport.

Be sure to check our calendar of events for upcoming dates, with the next Learning Curve Camp running from 27 April to 1 May.

Coach and B-Rel jumps this week saw 🪂Eric, 🪂Peter, 🪂Nakai, 🪂Tane, 🪂Ryan, 🪂Brittany, 🪂Morgan, 🪂Daniel, 🪂Oliver, 🪂James, 🪂Joshua, and 🪂Danping continuing their progression. And 🪂Hiroto returned to the sky with a recurrency jump.

Thanks to our coaches Doug, Alex, Toddy, Wayne, and Matthew for supporting everyone’s development.

Visitor Book Comment from James Turner read: “Thank you so much Toogs! Great experience to visit your Learning Curve Camp and learn so much through instruction, practice and seminar. Thank you for your patience and support. GET FROTHY! xo”

Fun Jumps

The weekend kicked off with Belly Bash on Saturday, featuring load organising with Dawn and Chris, giving Fun Jumpers a chance to sharpen skills and fly solid formations.

On Sunday, TSC Star Crests were run by Luke Matthei with support from Travis McCartin, and after a slow start, the group made the most of the weather with two solid jumps. ⭐️Tamblyn, ⭐️Cayleb, and ⭐️Dominic each earned the first of their three Star Crest jumps with a strong one-point 10-way. Congratulations!

A huge thanks goes to helpers Johan, Scott, Zaccaria, Guilherme, and Matthew, whose support made the event possible, and to Steve Fitchett for capturing incredible stills and footage of the day.

TSC Star Crests with Luke & Travis

“After a bit of a slow start to the day, we got 3 crestees and 6 helpers briefed so we could head to the skies and make the most of the beautiful weather. We managed to get up in the air twice with a solid one point 10-way on the first jump of the day — well done to Tamblyn Niethe, Cayleb Williamson, and Dominic Wrench for each getting their first of three jumps signed off!

A huge thanks to our awesome helpers: Johan Nott, Scott Ferrar, Zaccaria Macdonald, Guilherme Magalhaes, and Matthew Mckenzie, you all made the event possible.

Thank you to the amazing Steve Fitchett for as always, giving us incredible stills and footage of the jumps.

Special thanks to Travis McCartin for helping me fine tune my load organising skills and continuing to support me through running these events.

Looking forward to running the next one soon.”

Belly Bash – Load Organising with Dawn & Chris

“Last Saturday we kicked off the first Belly Bash of 2026 in true style, with a donut-fuelled theme and some seriously fun skydives!

The weather teased us early with a bit of shaky cloud, but patience paid off and it turned into an absolute stunner. We started sweet and simple with 8-ways and steadily worked our way up to a tasty 15-way, smashing out 4 great jumps in the process. Huge shoutout to our BellyBash virgins — SamBrianAshley and Jay — for jumping straight in and absolutely owning it.

Massive thanks as well to our awesome camera flyers Michael and Steve for capturing the chaos, the smiles, and the donut sprinkles. And of course, none of this would be possible without our legends of support: Skydive Ramblers, Queensland Parachuting Association – NQPC and SQPC, TSC and Mee Loft.

What a way to start the year!

See you again on the 28th Feb!”
