Rambling On ⭐️ DZ Action News #723 (31st Aug. – 6 Sept. 2026)

What a ripper week at Toogs, with William completing his AFF Course, Tim earning his A-Certificate, and Nick and Andrew both celebrating their 100th jumps and C-Certificates!

Students, Tandems, B-Rels and experienced Fun Jumpers all kept the Drop Zone buzzing, with Funtastic Friday and Vertical Descent XI adding plenty of extra action to the weekend. The Bureau of Meteorology forecast kept us on our toes, but we still managed to get plenty of jumping done!

Cheers to everyone who made it out, helped out, jumped in, or just brought the good vibes. Here’s to blue skies ahead…

Catch you in freefall,
The Ramblers Crew 🪂

Drop Zone Action

⭐ Student Progression: Congratulations to William, who completed Stages 4 to 9 and finished his AFF Course – awesome work! Continuing students Manuela and Amara progressed through Stages 4 to 8, while Jessie completed refresher jumps on Stages 3 and 6.

Thanks to our Instructors for looking after the students and keeping everyone safe in freefall and under canopy, Adrian, Toddy, Alex, Kellie, Shelby and Wayne.

🏆 Achievements: Congratulations to Tim on his A-Certificate, and to Nick and Andrew on reaching their 100th jumps and earning their C-Certificates! 🪂💯

🏁 First Jump Course: Sam and Steve joined Instructor Bill for their First Jump Course classroom session on Saturday, while Lennert started his 15 Jump Package.

The First Jump Course is a full day of theory and ground training covering freefall skydiving and parachuting techniques, with a focus on freefall sequences, body position, safety, parachute canopy flight and landings. We hope to get our new students into the skies soon!

Funtastic Friday with Josh

“Sup all, Thanks again for another rad Friday. Charleen really got good use out of Coach Woody, along with Nata they did 6 jumps on Friday, helping her get closer to being signed off for her Wingsuit Crest.

Tom Roberts did 5 jumps including intermediate angles, vertical jumps and leading for the big dogs.
I had a rad day with Maddog, Flossy and Jamie Webster throwing down some 4 way Sequentials followed by a lovely sunset 12 way angle.”

Vertical Descent XI (Sat. 5th – Sun. 6th Sept. 2026) – Photo by John Hannan
Vertical Descent XI

“Vertical Descent 11 went straight down at Skydive Ramblers on September 5 & 6 2026.

This was a static HU & HD event featuring 4 coaches/groups and an outside camera. We had 11 & 8 way HD and 2 x 4 way HU. Joining Matt, Dave and Josh was special guest coach Jamie Webster from Dubai to share his wealth of knowledge. John Hannan was there on outside camera capturing some epic descents.

Saturday was hot but we went hard and everyone completed 6 jumps with some sick formations completed. Sunday wasn’t too kind with the winds shutting down operations for a good part of the day but we managed to get 2 jumps completed which made 8 in total for the weekend. APPROVED !!

We saw some awesome progression from everyone!

Special thanks to all of the participants, coaches and camera. Skydive Ramblers and all of the team, APF, SQPC and TSC for their continued support of VDStatic!

See you on the next one, VD12”

Hey guys,
Thanks for running the Learning Curve Camp last week! It was run to your usual high standard and was a very beneficial experience, especially given my lack of currency after the main COVID closures. I thoroughly enjoy attending these weeks and really appreciate the time dedicated by the whole team at Ramblers, including the instructors, manifest, cafe team, aviation crew/pilots, and support staff. You are all legends and I look forward to coming out again in the near future.
Cheers, Adam.
