Drop Zone Action

The final weeks of the year and the start of the new one delivered a brilliant mix of Students, Tandems, B-Rels, and Fun Jumpers making the most of the holiday skies. Huge congratulations go to ⭐️Dyami, ⭐️Ryan, ⭐️Sunny, ⭐️Brittany, and ⭐️Tom, who all finished their AFF Courses with Stage 9 during this double issue. What an epic way to wrap up the year and kick off 2026, with strong progression, big milestones, and plenty of sky smiles all around.

Cheers to everyone who made it out, helped out, jumped in, or just brought the good vibes. Here’s to blue skies ahead… Catch you in freefall,

🏁 First Jump Course

On Saturday 27 December, Tom, Kayne, Isabella, Carlos, and Mark completed their First Jump Course classroom sessions with Sara, while Riyane and Brian sat in as Refreshers.

On Saturday 3 January, another group joined Sara in the classroom with Lisa, Cartter, Dhene, and Megan, along with visiting Byron Bay students Wong, Brittany, and Brendan, all getting set for their skydiving journeys.

⭐ Student Progression

Across the two-week period, several students were welcomed to the skies and made strong progress through their AFF stages.

Megan completed AFF Stage 1, Lisa and Dhene progressed through Stages 1 and 2, Isabella advanced through Stages 1 to 3, and Kayne pushed on from Stages 1 to 4. Carlos and Mark made excellent progress, completing Stages 1 through 6.

Continuing students also kept the momentum going, with Mitchell completing Stages 2 and 3, Jack progressing through Stages 4 to 7, Brendan completing Stage 5, and Patrick advancing through Stages 4 to 6. Massive congratulations again to Dyami, Ryan, and Sunny, who all powered through Stages 4 to 9, Brittany, who completed Stages 7 to 9, and Tom, who absolutely sent it by completing Stages 1 to 9. A special mention to Doug, who was there capturing photos of Tom’s B-Rels along the way.

Thanks to our Instructors for looking after the students and keeping everyone safe in freefall and under canopy, Toddy, Rebecca, Adam, Lisa, Li, Wayne, Natisha, Emily, and Millie.

B-Rels, Coach & Fun Jumps

Coaching and B-Rel jumps were in full swing, with Tom smashing through his B-Rels up to Stage 6, supported on many loads by his dad Doug, who filmed and later docked with his son after he had just completed AFF, which was a proud moment all round.

Tane and Peter completed B-Rels Stage 2, Lachlan progressed through B-Rels 2 and 3, William advanced with B-Rels 5 and 6.1, and Savannah and Sam continued working on their B-Rels. Riyane and Phillip completed Refresher jumps to get current again.

Thanks to our coaches Rebecca, Toddy, Li, Adam, Ben, Wayne, and Matthew for their time, guidance, and encouragement.

Tandem Skydives

We welcomed Yassine, Hugh, Nicole, Jordan, Dean, Danyelle, and Gabriel as Tandem jumpers over the period, all taking the leap and soaking up those holiday views. Ben also jumped in training to become a Tandem Master, taking Shakira and our packer Alex along for the ride.

Thanks to our Tandem Masters Matthew, Ty, and Oli, who also ran Handycam video and photos to lock in those memories.

Ramblers New Year’s Eve Bash

The countdown was on — and there was only one place to ring in the new year… 14,000ft above the ground and 100% in party mode! We chased altitude, grabbed our mates, and sent those final 2025 exits in style. There was Pool Party Shenanigans, we cooled off, splashed around and just chilled out thanks to free Cookie Cocktails by the Pool on the 30th of December.

Great entertainment was had with live tunes from DJ Boonooni – Dropping beats hotter than your tandem instructor’s landing… And with Raffle Entry free stuff made everything better. There was Fancy Dress Fun and we went wild! Sky fairy, disco astronaut, or whatever got jumpers into that New Year groove.

NYE Night, when the sun set, the real fun started. We danced, laughed, and partied under the stars ‘til the first sunrise of 2026 (or ‘til our legs gave out — whichever came first).
