Sky Vibes Weekly

This week delivered blue skies, milestone fun jumpers, birthday Tandem leaps, and non-stop progression. From first-timers to a legend celebrating his 90th in the sky, the Drop Zone was buzzing with energy, community spirit, and the sound of canopies opening. Here’s the wrap-up from an unforgettable week.

🏁 First Jump Course

On Saturday the 19th of July, Jade and Nate kicked off their First Jump Course with instructor Bill running the class room sessions. John joined for a Refresher. Jade went on to complete her first skydive on Sunday — AFF Stage 1! (Check out her stunning exit shots from outside flyer Ash.)

⭐ Student Progression

Also First Timers getting into the skies this week were Zane, who completed Stages 1 and 2, and John, who made it through Stages 1 to 3. And among our ongoing students, Xinji progressed to Stage 3 and Lelind powered through Stages 4 to 7. Bravo!

🎉 A huge congratulations to our newest AFF graduates: James completed Stages 8 and 9, Sebastian finished with a Stage 9 Hop ’n’ Pop. Cudos to Olavo, who smashed out Stages 2 to 9 in one week, and then went straight into his B-Rels without missing a beat. That’s the spirit of a future licensed fun jumper!

☀️ Coach & B-Rel Jumps

There were heaps of progression jumps happening throughout the week:

Adam and Patrick both did B-Rels with instructor Paul, joined by Shakira and captured by Steve Fitchett on outside camera. Morgan completed B-Rel 4.2. Olavo jumped straight into B-Rel 1. Joel worked through B-Rel 5. Alistair knocked out B-Rel 6.2. And Victoria did a coach jump too.

Thanks to our Coaches Paul, Millie, and Lisa helping our novices progress in the sport.

🪂 Tandems

We had a huge crew of Tandem passengers this week: Miachela, Scott, Edison, David, Olivia, Drew, Teygan, Brooke, Peter, Robert, Stine, Makayla, Nicole, Samantha, Eric, Jinfu, and  Reuben (with outside video by Steve Fitchett).

We also had three particularly special celebrations in the sky:

🎂 Stacey, who celebrated her birthday with an epic jump captured by Steve Fitchett.
🎂 Liam took the leap for his birthday,
🎂 And Kenneth William celebrated his 90th birthday with a Tandem skydive — absolutely legendary! Be sure to read his heart-warming feedback below.

Huge thanks to our Tandem Masters Ash, Ty, and Andy for getting up close and personal with Handycam footage. Appreciation also goes to outside flyers Chloe, Ash, and Toddy for capturing the sky-high perspectives.
