Weekly Wrap-Up

What a week. The weather has been fantastic, light winds and lots of blue skies. We smashed out quite a few loads during the week with our newest students continuing their AFF Course and 8 students completing their course, congrats to all.

Saturday was another busy day with Chris and Dawn running their monthly “Belly Bash” day with a great turn out of fun jumpers, thankfully we had the fast plane, so everyone was happy. Watch out for the brilliant Fitchimages by Steve Fitchett.

Saturday was also a big Tandem day with our instructors doing a great job to get everyone in the air. Plenty of students kept the plane full and instructors happy.

On Sunday, Travis McC. ran the TSC Star Crests, see report and photos below, and thanks to everyone who helped out.

Bring on next week jam packed with the great weather and heaps of students.

Drop Zone Action

🏁 First Jump Course
This week, we welcomed a few new faces to the sky! Clara completed her AFF Stage 1 jump, while Jack progressed through Stages 1 and 2. Michael came back in to refresh his skills and get current again. Great effort from all!

Student Progression
It was an incredible week for progression, with eight students completing their AFF Course! Marcos started with AFF Stage 1 and smashed out the full course in just four days — on fire! Macayla completed AFF Stages 3 through 9, Rustyfinished Stages 8 and 9, Jessica pushed through Stages 3 to 9, Victoria wrapped up with Stages 6 to 9, Angus ticked off Stages 7 to 9, Raphael powered through from Stage 3 to Stage 9, Sasha completed Stages 2 through 9, and Jessie successfully finished her AFF Course with Stage 9. Huge congratulations to all — the sky is officially yours!

Our ongoing students kept the momentum going: Luke completed Stages 3 to 5, Sebastian moved ahead with Stage 7, Megan progressed through Stages 4 to 6, Michael returned to complete Stage 3, and Kyle ticked off Stages 2 to 5. Awesome work from our determined students — keep climbing!

☀️ Coach & B-Rel Jumps
Well done to those who were in the air working on skills progression through Coach and B-Rel jumps this week. Shoutout to Daniel, Jiayu, Samantha and Josh for their dedication and drive. Every jump counts!

🪂 Tandems
We had a solid turnout of Tandem skydivers this week — welcome to all of you! Julie, Kaitlyn, Marcos Aurelio, Nathan, Phillip, Lachlan, Greeshma, Hei Yu Katie, Angela, Joes, Gabrielle, Samantha, Piper and Storm all took that unforgettable leap with us.

Big cheers to those who took the Video/Photo Package to capture that unforgettable first jump! And an extra thanks to everyone who left Reviews — your words inspire the next generation of skydivers.

Belly Bash (Saturday, 24th May)

“Well, last Saturday was one of those occasions that proves that the best BellyBash events aren’t always planned, they just happen!! Wall-to-wall blue skies, 35 eager BellyBashers and 3 (yes three!) milestone jumps ready to celebrate in style!!

This month’s theme was Stars and what better way to blow off the cobwebs than an early round of speed star coffee jumps? We then split into different sized groups with the smaller groups working on some dynamic block moves, whilst the bigger group built a 15-way to celebrate Trav, Marcee and Max’s 700th jumps – with more than a few sausages in the breeze! We had an absolute ripper organising you all, and loved watching the progression across the day!

Thanks to our legendary camera flyers, Steve Fitch and Dave Brown, and to Skydive Ramblers, TSC, SQPC and Mee Loft for supporting BellyBash and making it possible!!”

TSC Star Crests – with Travis McCartin (Sunday, 25th May)

“There weren’t as many flat flyers and crestees this week. However, we were able to get one jump in with two crestees, Akalia Laxton and Robert Doherty. It was great to see the progression of AK and also the Robert’s first Starcrest was very close. The help was greatly appreciated from all the other skydivers.

Until the next event.

Trav.

Today I went flying for the first time in a long time, as I had a stroke 3 and a bit years ago. Just wanted say thank u Ramblers for bringing me a great day and a bit of normality back in my life. Again I would like to thank all the people that truly made my day and the special man, that looked after me. It won't be my last time out there. And would recommend this experience to anyone. Again thanks to everybody involved.
