Drop Zone Action

It started with a week of crazy weather at the DZ, with plenty of watching the radar and waiting for gaps, and yet we still managed to sneak in some solid lobs. Huge congratulations to ⭐️Parker, who powered through Stages 4 to 9 and officially completed his AFF Course despite the stop-start conditions – what an effort. It was great to see Students, B-Rels, and Fun Jumpers still making the most of every weather window we could find.

Then from 16-22 February, it was a cracking week at the DZ. Huge congratulations to ⭐️Cyrus, who wrapped up Stages 7 to 9 and officially completed his AFF Course – fantastic effort. We also celebrated a big fun jumper milestone, with ⭐️Kerwin clocking up his 400th jump – what a ripper achievement. And we had huge Saturday with 14 Tandems!

Cheers to everyone who made it out, helped out, jumped in, or just brought the good vibes. Here’s to blue skies ahead…

Catch you in freefall,
The Ramblers Crew 🪂

AFF Student Progression

Huge congratulations to Parker, who powered through Stages 4 to 9 during the week of 9-15th February, and he officially finished his AFF Course – what a way to push through a weather-affected week. Straight after finishing, he rolled straight into his B-Rels, good on him for keeping the momentum going.

On Saturday 14 February, 🏁Kaylie started her First Jump Course in the classroom, getting the theory foundations sorted and ready for her first jump when conditions allow. 🏁Nathan also sat in on the Refresher Course to brush up on knowledge before heading back to the sky.

In the week of 16-22nd February, we welcomed Kaylie and Roni to the skies, they both completed Stage 1. Maddison continued her progression with Stage 2, Tyler moved through Stages 4 and 5, and Andres and Dhene both powered through Stages 6 and 7. Abraham (Shorty) completed Stages 7 and 8 and is now so close to finishing. Massive congratulations again to Cyrus for completing Stages 7 to 9 and finishing his AFF Course.

Thanks to our Instructors for looking after the students and keeping everyone safe in freefall and under canopy, Toddy, Milly, Adrian, Marc, Robin, Wayne, and Chris.

Tandem Skydivers

Saturday the 21st was a huge day for Tandem jumping. Shrien, and Natasha took to the skies, Xavier (jumper Matt‘s son) went for a jump on his 16th birthday, and Joy also celebrated her birthday in style with a leap of faith. She brought along her friends Edna, Joseph, and Renson, who took the dare on board and jumped out of our plane with her. Also sending it in Tandem were Jaala, Maryam, Mason, Amy, Shaun, Nomeneta, and Phillip.

Thanks to our Tandem Masters Ben, Ty, and Robin for a massive day in the air.

Big cheers to those who took the Video/Photo Package to capture that unforgettable first jump! And an extra thanks to everyone who left reviews – your words inspire the next generation of skydivers.

B-Rels, Coach & Fun Jumps

Coach jumps in the first week were completed by Parker, continuing straight into his B-Rels, along with Hayden and Ryan, who kept building on their skills whenever the weather gave us a window.

Coach and B-Rel progression continued strong the next week. Carlos completed B-Rel 1, Joshua ticked off B-Rel 2, Savannah and Jack worked through B-Rels 2 and 3, and Ryan progressed with B-Rel 6. Brittany and Nathan also jumped with coaches, while Nathan and Michael completed coached Refresher jumps to get back into the swing of things.

Thanks to our coaches Toddy, Andy, Robin, Alex, and Wayne for keeping everyone moving forward.

Unfortunately for our Fun Jumpers, the first weekend of 14-15 February didn’t deliver the skydives we had planned. Both Speed Camp with Natisha Dingle – Speed Secrets & Safety and Vertical Descent XI were scheduled to run, but the weather had other ideas and no jumps were possible. While it was disappointing not to get aircraft in the air, it was still great to see jumpers on the ground connecting, planning, and keeping the stoke alive. We’re looking forward to getting both events back into the sky when conditions line up next.
