Drop Zone Action

Another beautiful week in paradise. The weather was amazing all week.

The Learning Curve Camp was in full swing. Slow turn out at the start, but picked up with more fun jumpers arriving throughout the week. Ramblers instructors and coaches ran some very knowledgeable seminars, which included Gear Checks & Maintenance, Camera Safety, Aircraft Door Emergency Procedures, Freefall & Canopy Procedures, Angles, QnA and Daily Landing Tapes.

Big shout out to Shakira who started her AFF course on the Monday and smashed out all her jumps by Friday! Jess started her course and did TAFF Stage 1, and AFF 2. Sam did his Stage 2, and Aaron and Luca both did Stages 8 and 9, finishing their AFF course. Well done to all!

David started his B-Rels, while Ben, Bence, Cookie, Dom, and Chris worked on finishing theirs.

Our Tandems for the week were: Robert, Declyn, Ralph, Jeongron, Josh, and Jai. Big congrats to all who took the leap.

⭐️ Robert: “Today I went flying for the first time in a long time, as I had a stroke 3 and a bit years ago. Just wanted say thank u Ramblers for bringing me a great day and a bit of normality back in my life. Again I would like to thank all the people that truly made my day and the special man, that looked after me. It won’t be my last time out there. And would recommend this experience to anyone. Again thanks to everybody involved.”

Bill, Just a note to say thanks to you mate for your continued support it was a great trip. I would also like to bring to your leadership teams attention the exceptional support provided by Andy who did the tandem jump with a great friend of mine, Julie. To say Julie was petrified on the lead up to the big day would be a huge understatement. I had my doubts that she would actually exit on the day. I put her decision to exit firmly in the hands of Andy who excelled in calming her down, reassuring her whilst having a bit of a laugh along the way. The manner in which he guided her through what was to her a daunting task was oustanding to watch. He should be commended not only for his flight skills but also his raport and interaction with the customer. I was not surprised to find out he had a military background. Ramblers should be proud to have such fine men on their books as you and Andy, Bill.
