As an experienced skydiver, I took my whole family to Ramblers to introduce each of them to a tandem jump. Ramblers is an awesome experience for tandems and for fun jumpers. Toogoolawah, QLD is a little off the beaten track but well worth the travel time because the experience is just out of this world. The facilities and equipment are amazing. Pool, bar, plenty of wildlife and the location is just fantastic. The staff are professional, friendly and very welcoming. The local regular jumpers are extremely helpful too so have a chat, ask questions and get involved. Enjoy. Blue Skies

First ever Tandem Skydive. What a fun time! I decided I wanted the ‘full experience’, so, I chose not to say ahead of time that I *hate* freefalling (like rollercoaster drops) even though I love twists and turns and loops and such. I say this because if this is what stops you – just let them know! Your tandem instructor *can* cut the ‘freefall’ time short and pull the canopy. I’m not going to lie – that first 10 seconds or so is heart pounding madness. Pure insanity until your brain catches up to the fall. Then it’s actually pretty fun if you just relax into the fall until the instructor pulls the rip cord. Under the canopy – once you’re floating – it’s quiet and beautiful and much slower than you would think. Nothing scary at all. It also helps that the instructors and jumpers wandering around and the ladies in the office are all so kind, helpful and upbeat as you gear up, go through instructions and head up in the plane ride. : )

As a SCUBA Instructor, I’m watchful for safety and professionalism in other extreme sports and the staff, buildings, equipment, plane and even other customers at Ramblers all gave me a feeling of safety and comfort in addition to being genuinely welcoming as newcomer to their sport. If you haven’t been and have been wanting to skydive – this is a GREAT place to start your newest addiction. : )

Most amazing experience. Staff are all professional, very safety oriented but make the entire time you are there so much fun. First time jumper and we did it at night during their equinox boogie and the atmosphere was brilliant. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience an amazing jump.

Went with them today for my first ever skydiving. It was amazing, exhilarating and exciting. Don’t be scared, there’s nothing terrifying about it. Once you are out of the plane, it feels like you’re flying.

The crew was terrific. Couldn’t say more great things about the guides, the pilot and the receptionist.

I give up 2 thumbs up. The package was well worth it. Go for the higher altitude one if you can, the free fall is the best part by far.

I have been to Toogoolawah for 3 tandem jumps so far. I am trying to make it a yearly event. I love the atmosphere out there in the bush, with the kangaroos around. The staff are friendly and the trainers that take you are professional while at the same time making sure you have fun. I would highly recommend a trip out to Ramblers.

Wow…….you guys really know your stuff. Professional with a Capital P….all the staff genuinely WANT to be there, no shortcuts to compromise safety at the same time making “us mortals” feel 100% safe. Hi everyone, if anybody is thinking of skydiving, Skydive Ramblers is the perfect place! They have awesome and experienced instructors. You can complete a number of courses or just came for a tandem jump. The area is amazing!!!!

The DZ is amazing. Awesome plane which brings you to 14000 ft in the blink of an eye. Friendly staff who feel more like family. Can’t wait to get back there…

My experience of a tandem skydive was for my 40th Birthday. I could not imagine possibly enjoying myself any more than what I did today. Thank you to my tandem guide and the video guys. Instructions were very clear and thorough about what to do, what to expect and I got a great tour guide experience up in the air. I look forward to doing it again.

Wow! Just wow. What an incredible experience. My husband and I are still in shock that we jumped out of a plane! I am completely terrified of heights.. (like I cant even get to the top of a ladder!!) And they made us both feel so at ease with the whole experience. I wasn’t scared at all! Thanks for your hilarious jokes! Pretty sure we will be doing our course soon! : )

This is the place for your AFF Skydive Course

I wish I were a poet so that I could clearly and sufficiently express the range of emotions and feelings any normal person experiences when going through an AFF course.

Of course there is the fear of heights and the exhilaration of the free fall, but the different levels of self doubt, excitement, nausea even and ultimately confidence, is something that one must experience if you have any interest in an activity like this.

My friend and I looked at several dropzones and we were both very happy that we settled on Ramblers in Toogoolawah. We traveled to Australia just for this course. The place is full of cool people and the unique attitudes of those who embrace the skydive lifestyle were really interesting.

The instructors are very professional and in particular I had lessons from three of them. Sara instructed us for the ground school. Her no nonsense attitude and professional approach was fantastic and she made you want to work harder just to please her… In skydiving though, there is always so much to learn and improve upon.

All in all, it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life and in no small part due to the great people at the Toogoolawah drop zone. I highly recommend this place for those considering learning how to throw themselves out of a perfectly good airplane. You won’t regret your decision.
