For the once-only Tandem jumpers, choose to tandem jump over the Sunshine Coast and land on the beach at Coolum Beach or choose to tandem jump at Toogoolawah drop zone - Ramblers purpose-built skydiving institution.

The minimum age is 14 (with Parents consent) and a 86 year old groover holds the age record at Toogoolawah! Check out the Tandem Skydiving page. Click the tandem skydiving icon to find out more!
For those with a taste of something more than a tandem jump, choose the First Jump Course or try the 'Introduction' 3-jump freefall package, either at Toogoolawah drop zone or Coolum Beach. If you are up for the course or even the sport, choose the 'Completion' 10-jump Freefall package or better still, go hard and go off with the 'Addiction' 20-jump 'A' License package.
For the experienced jumpers, Ramblers drop zone at Toogoolawah is a REAL drop zone, for the fun jumpers - yeah! The 17-place turbine Cessna Caravan flies loads pretty much every day throughout the year - the average is about 4 caravan loads daily mid-week and up to 20 loads daily on the weekend, sometimes with 2-plane formation loads just because we can! Regular events including fun competitions, organised dive days, big boogies, Learning Curve Camps, team training camps and monthly Safety Meetings.

International Students

Ramblers welcomes foreign students for the TAF/AFF skydiving courses on a regular basis. Foreign visitors generally make a holiday of it and choose the Addiction Package to complete the course and achieve an A License in approximately 10 days.

Ramblers TAF/AFF courses are recognised worldwide. Licenses issued by the Australian Parachute Federation are also recognised worldwide.

Skydiving Licenses are of an International standard. When students complete skydiving courses in a foreign country, most worldwide Federations would like those students to go home with an A License and preferably a B License. Returning home with a course completed but no License can cause problems and some students have been made to re-do some jumps of the course.

Australian rules have recently changed to accept modern Student Equipment with similar main and reserve deployment systems as Sport Skydiving Equipment ie. equipment that has a throwaway pilot chute for main parachute deployment (instead of ripcord) and twin action system for cutaway and reserve parachute deployment (instead of single operating system SOS). This state-of-the-art, modern equipment means the student’s transition to sport skydiving equipment is hassle-free as the system is the same, the handles are in the same places and there is very minimal training required.

Most visitors to Ramblers Resort want to continue jumping and never want to leave. Often they wished they had’ve allowed more time, so it is advised that extra time and money is budgeted for more jumps and to enjoy the unique drop zone lifestyle!
