International Students

Ramblers welcomes foreign visitors for Tandem Jumps, beginner skydiving and parachute training courses, advanced Instructor Rating and Tandem Master courses.

Foreign visitors starting skydiving generally make a holiday of it and usually choose the skydiving Addiction Package to complete the course and achieve an A License, which is issued by the Australian Parachute Federation and recognised worldwide.

Skydiving Licenses are of an International standard. When students complete skydiving courses in a foreign country, most worldwide Federations would like those students to go home with an A License and preferably a B License. Returning home with a course completed but no License can cause problems and some students have been made to re-do some jumps of the course.

Australian rules have recently changed to accept modern Student Equipment with similar main and reserve deployment systems as Sport Skydiving Equipment ie. equipment that has a throwaway pilot chute for main parachute deployment (instead of ripcord) and twin action system for cutaway and reserve parachute deployment (instead of single operating system SOS). Ramblers state-of-the-art, modern student training equipment means a student’s transition to sport skydiving equipment is hassle-free as the system is the same, the handles are in the same places and there is very minimal further training required.

Most foreign visitors to Ramblers Skydiving Drop Zone Resort want to continue jumping and never want to leave! Often they wished they had allowed more time, so it is advised that extra time and money is budgeted for more jumps and to enjoy the unique drop zone lifestyle!

For more information about advanced skydiving training including Instructor and Tandem Master courses, please contact the drop zone.
