Congratulations on finishing your Course AFF Course

I hope you had fun! I would now like to give you an outline of the best approach towards your future jumping.

Firstly make sure you have a copy of the A-licence and B-licence training manuals from the APF. They are available free at manifest. Get your A-licence certificate and then start on your B-licence (50 jumps total, 12 with an instructor). Then keep going. Get your Star Crest (3 jumps with an instructor and 6 other jumpers) and your C-licence certificate (total 100 jumps).

They say the best jumps you’ll ever do are your first 100 – and then they get better !

Ok, here’s the best way to get there;

• Join the Ramblers Gear Hire Scheme. Cost is $150. Save $10 a jump gear hire.
• Join the Toogoolawah Skydivers Club. Cost $55. Save $2 a jump ticket.
• Learn to pack. Save $10 a jump.
• Buy 10 jump tickets at a time. Save $3 a jump ticket.
• Buy your own goggles, altimeter, helmet, audible altimeter and jumpsuit, in that order, as soon as you can.
• Buy 10 Coach tickets at a time. Save $5 a coach jump.
• Buy your own set of gear when you know what you want. Watch out for bargains. Always ask for advice from our instructors or me before you buy.
• Get coached when you can. It will save you “wasted” jumps.
• Go to as many Learning Curve Camps as your boss and wallet will let you.
• Finally, “word of mouth” is our best advertising. If you bring people along for jumps Ramblers will “reward” you with free jumps and gear hire.  

Before you know it you will have a 100 jumps. You’ll have your own gear, a "C" Certificate and a Star Crest. The whole Sport will open up for you and holidays will have a new meaning.
