Ramblers DZ Round-up
Hi again and welcome to Newsletter 9.
Here’s the latest goings-on at the DZ from the 1st of September.
First up Brian Long kept going with his S/L training all week and got his “A” licence with flying colours.

The 182 was kept busy and we did a couple of Caravan loads before the week was done. Dingo, Naomi Adam, Phil K, Rob Olgivie, David Smedley and Reilly Cartlidge went for a leap Thursday. (Reilly has become a DZ “estate resident” and rented an “ordinary” caravan for 12 months). Hayley Murphy did her Stage 9, on ya Hayley! Kyle Johnson, Bubba, Marc Dergacz, Rob Burke, Flip Bates and Saleena Levett made up the sunset load Friday.

Saturday was a beauty, Greg Callahan and Jack Elford continued on with their training, we did seven tandems, Louis packed like a machine and there were 35 licensed jumpers doing all sorts of disciplines: CRW, Freefly, tracking, wingsuiters and of course good old RW. Lisa, Kyle, Reilly, David Bleakley and Clay all got their CReW Crest – congratulations!

5 people achieved their CRW crests on this 9 way stack, and to prove it wasn't a fluke, they did it again, but faster!

There were quite a few new faces on the dz too.

Alan also got his “A”. Cameron Faust got three in on Wednesday.
The big news of the week was that John McMahon, Phil Kemper and Wade all did their Static Line Instructors Rating which included doing a couple of static line jumps as part of the course.

And then they had to jump off the Tower of Terror!
Love it.
Matt Stuart, Christian Stricklen and Ken Garrard arrived Friday for their AFF FJC but the wind blew! And it blew something fierce all day Saturday as well. But Sunday was a beauty and they all did three jumps each. Stuart Matin and Myles Cake also continued on with their AFF jumps. Emily Hatfield was back for the weekend and finished her packing and “A” licence. Peter Flanagan, Dan Darvill and Cameron Faust were also back for continuation training.

We also had three tandems jump. The instructors sure were kept busy.
Welcome back Doug Pryor, old Rambler from way back. Our pilot Roger went for a fun-jump. Filippo Balbina and Ilya Nalivkin, previous visitors from overseas were also here Sunday for a few leaps and Allison Mitchell was back from her overseas holiday. Other locals made up the numbers and then it was Sunday night pub night. Actually it was pub night Friday and Saturday as well!
And then it was Monday again.
