Ramblers DZ Round-up
DROP ZONE ROUND-UP, NEWSLETTER 6
From Wednesday 20th July 2011...
It was a fairly quiet rest of week, although Adam Martin Stage 7 and Drew Morrison Stage 1 kept the 182 in the air and on Friday Andrew Morrison was back for Stages 2,3. Pete Agnew brought a couple of Harvey Bay graduates down for a visit – hi Katheryn Roberts and Marcus Curry – (that’s Ray and Grace Curry’s kid!).
The weekend was a beauty, great weather, great crowd and great jumps. Brody Johnston was back from the States with over 100 tandems and 90 fun jumps. He put a carton on for his first tandem at Toogs.

And then it was back to getting the dz ready for the weekend.
And what a weekend it was! The TSC held another “Roving Pairs” 4-way comp on Saturday and about 20+ people entered. It was a great, successful day. On ya! John McMahon, Jenny and crew, and Maureen’s kitchen for the Christmas in July theme. I videoed all day and only forgot to turn my camera on once. Actually I turned it off after I turned it on, I couldn’t remember whether I had.....if you know what I mean? Anyhow check out my shots in the Overflow page and look out for a full report of the comp from John soon.
It was a great weekend again for our students. Aman Singh, Chris Bellisia and Phil Markey did their first jumps, Aman and Chris continued on Sunday for Stages 2&3.

and then headed off with Doug and the River 949 flag for a demo at the drag races at Willowbank. We got a good cheer from the crowd. Ali was on the PA for ages and gave Ramblers heaps of plugs. I can’t believe the noise the drag cars make!
