The Partners Program was developed for the entertainment and enjoyment of the partners and friends who choose NOT to sit on a DZ all day watching while friends and loved ones are off having all the fun in the sky.
Toogoolawah is not too far from a host of interesting things to do and see and here’s hoping that all you fun loving partners will have a great time exploring and experiencing the local culture and attractions of our wonderful region.
We are looking forward to sharing our beautiful region with the participants of the Equinox Partners Program.
In the past our Partners Program has consisted of daily "Organised Tours" which did not always suit everyone, so this time there will be provision for our visitors to coordinate with our Volunteer Tourism Officer to their own tour program during the Equinox.
A camera, a good sun hat and sunscreen, a personal water bottle, a comfy pair of shoes and don't forget your swim suit and a towel as this is a valley lakes and it's not too far to the beach either. The Ramblers DZ swimming pool is always a good spot to cool off after a hard day touring.
The list of activities and venues within our region will leave visitors spoiled for choice.
There is everything from, Local Shopping and Local Eateries, General Sight Seeing, Rail Trail and Walking Trails, Local Historical Buildings, Horse Riding and Trails for all levels of experience, National Parks, Local Wineries and Gourmet Producers, Scenic Drives, Local Waterways, -(swimming, fishing, boating) Picnics, Wild Koala Tours, Native Gardens, "Lunch with the Locals", Markets, Antiques and Crafts. Then of course there is the glorious Sunshine Coast on our doorstep-Australia Zoo, Surfing, Swimming, Beaches, Underwater World, Ginger Factory, Spirit House, cooking Classes. Not forgetting the picturesque Sunshine Coast Hinterland-Glasshouse Mountains and much much more.
It's simple really. On arrival at Ramblers DZ, you are asked to fill in the Partners Program Introduction form and tell us what you would like to see and do.
This information will assist the Coordinator to get you on the road to explore the many attractions on offer. There will also be free brochures and maps to help you decide on activities to suit your time, taste and transport.
A friendly "Meet and Greet" of Partners Program participants will take place at the first day of the Boogie in the Ramblers Pool area at a time to be announced.
This will hopefully help us all get to know each other and perhaps share some ideas about outings and activities.
Beside the other things available to entertain in the region we also have a 9 hole golf course, tennis courts and even lawn bowls, these are available right here in Toogoolawah.
In fact there are a total of 4 golf courses within easy drive of the DZ for those hard core golf enthusiasts. Let us know if you would like a game.
Our bus and driver will be on standby for "GROUP TOURS" if required. The Partners Program Coordinator will accompany the group on these tours.
Costs for seats on the bus will depend on numbers. All other costs incurred during the tours. (ie entry fees to venues, food and drink etc.) will be the responsibility of individuals. (Entry prices to venues etc will be available before departure from the DZ.)
Some local tourist venues and wineries may have "Special Offers" for the Equinox Partners Program. This information will be made available by the Coordinator.
For those interested in setting off on a "self drive" overnight tour of the region, we can also advise and help to arrange accommodation as needed.
Thinking of travelling a little after the Equinox? Let us help you with some local advise and introduce you in to some really special places down the road.
Please be aware that some venues and destinations will only be available to those with the ability to "self drive". Extensive exploration of the region is best done by car.
Hire cars are available from major towns and Brisbane Airport and it is advisable to organise your hire car at either of these places before arriving at the Drop Zone. See below for more information on hire cars.
