Info Bulletin 2

I received a lot of phone calls and emails about bulletin one's proposed schedule. This schedule will be followed if we have a very bad weather forecast as we need to make sure that we have a valid competition for the disciplines that will be represented at the world meet later in the year. It basically means that if you are competing for a place to go to Dubai plan to be here from the 6th till the 11th.

If the weather forecast is good it will be business as usual. Starting Friday, Saturday with accuracy, CF2, FS4 open/inter and VFS4 open followed on Sunday and Monday with sport accuracy, CF4, FS8 open/inter, VFS4 inter and AE.

We all prefer this scenario of course as it gives us the quickest turnaround time for the meet and makes it a lot more likely that people can and will compete in more than one event. SO let's all hope for blue skies, 5 knots !!

Info

  • Registration cost for sport accuracy is $42 now instead of $99. It's only 5 rounds and hopefully this will attract more competitors
  • Planes : Toogoolawah C208 and C182. Sydney's C208
  • Free rego goodie bags and raffle for competitors. Main prizes include a free Vortex container and 40% on a Vigil and many more!
  • Maureen's kitchen at the DZ will be open from 31/3 onwards for breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Good Friday the bar will be closed. BYO !!!
  • Boogie load organisers will be Selwyn Johnson, John McMahon and Paul Osborne. They will be organising FS small and big, tracking and atmo skydives. They will also try to organise 10way speed and 16way teams
  • Make sure equipment is up to date. We will do gear checks
  • Camera people : We prefer that you start the comp. with an empty memory card and date and time on camera correctly set. This makes it a lot faster and easier to feed the footage into the Intime judging system. If you still jump the older style tape camera, no problem but it will require more time to feed it in the system
  • Official practice day is Thu 5/04. Intime live judging should be up and running
  • Opening ceremony Thu 5 pm. Demo. Flag jump, streamers and smoke
  • Start competition Fri 6/04. Starting with accuracy and CF2 at 6.30 am.
Make sure you are registered before 8 pm Thursday
  • FS4 open/inter starting at 9.30 am Friday.
Make sure you are registered before 9.00 am Friday
  • VFS4 open starting at 10.30 am Friday.
Make sure you are registered before 10.00 am Friday
  • Registration for other disciplines stay open till further notice
  • When you register please do it as a complete team
  • Draw for CF2, FS4 and VFS4 will be out Thursday evening
  • Competitors meeting : Thursday 5/04 at 8.00 pm in the turkey hut

Info Bulletin 3

Hi everyone,

It looks that this years Nationals will have a lot more VFS and AE teams competing than previous years. GREAT !!

But I had phone calls and emails from people who like to compete in several events. This start to create problems with the schedule. Some want to do VFS4 inter and open, some VFS4 and Freefly and some VFS4 and Freestyle.

It's impossible to keep this 4 events separate in a 4 day meet.

My suggestion is to start with the discipline formation skydiving (events VFS4 open and inter) on Friday and Saturday followed by the discipline Artistic events (events freefly open, freefly inter and freestyle) on Sunday and Monday.

This order will only give the people who are competing in both VFS4 inter and open a busy schedule but keeps everyone else separated. How does that sound ?

I 'am flexible with the meet schedule. If all teams work out a different solution that works fine, thats OK for me. I’m open for suggestions or different ideas.

So until further notice VFS4 open and inter will start on the Friday. Draw will be out Thu at 6.30pm. Registration for these events closing 10.00am Friday and first load get called at 10.15am.
