Ramblers DZ Round-up
Hi again and welcome to Newsletter 8.
The Learning Curve Camp was one of our best yet. Over 40 people attended during the week. On Wednesday the weather played up a bit and the numbers dropped a little but things picked up on Friday.
All sorts of jumps were happening all week, students, CRW, star crests, a bit of freefly and a bit more of tracking/atmo, and the odd tandem. It was good to see Gus Cisneros again helping out with some coaching, and also Archie was back practicing flag jumps with Terry Riddle.
It was especially good to see Sonja Neville back as a coach doing B-rels. Sonja has not missed a LCC since she started jumping and now she’s a coach! It was a while ago now so I’ll move on.
Here are some LCC photos from Belgy...

I left the dz Friday arvo and I’ve been away for over a week so I was away for the SEQSC “Four Ways For Everyone” weekend which I hear was very successful. On ya Rosie. 44 experienced people jumped and there were another 7 students, 9 tandems and 9 instructors in the air. Great Saturday. Then it rained.
When I got back, last Saturday, the weather was awful as it had been since the Sunday beforehand so no jumps had happened since the FWFE! A full week of NO jumping so there’s not much to report.
I went with Homer to do tandems at Coolum on Sunday and the weather was perfect. We did 5 loads and 26 tandems so the Coolum Crew were stoked. The new Clubhouse rocked! The 182 handled Toogs. There was only a handful of licensed jumpers and a few students, but that kept Wade, Belgy and Louis on the go. Roger flew 9 loads.
Monday 29th saw the arrival of the staff from Redcliffe here for fun jumps, along with Adam Martin AFF and Brian Long doing the Static Line Course.

Dingo rocked up for a couple of loads and Naomi Adam did her 2000th! Riley Cartridge has been here all week. On Tuesday John Pownall did his Stage 1 AFF, his first jump ever. Brian is still going strong, he just did his 15 second delay delta, a beauty.
It’s now Wednesday 31st August. It’s good to be back. It’s only a short newsletter but I’ve been away and the weather has been bad so I’ll get this newsletter on its way.
