It’s only been a week since the last Newsletter, but what a week it was! The Learning Curve Camp must have been one of our best!

...And it led straight into the South Queensland Champs, which the SEQSC also used to incorporate one of their League weekends. Lisa has sent in a ton of great photos (see link to photos and results below) and several TSC members have also sent in photos. So, so-as not to lose the moment here’s Newsletter 14, picking up from Thursday 17th November of the LCC.
Well Thursday was bigger than Wednesday by an extra 10 people and an extra two loads and an extra 40 jumps (total 158)! Intermediate level jumpers John Bucknell and Adrian Cox joined in. Brody instigated early morning Hop & Pop loads which were quite popular. The CRW jumpers were also busy in the afternoons, getting ready for the TSC CRW record attempts this coming weekend.
Friday was bigger yet again; six extra people jumped (including Paul Meese who got his A license (bravo!), plus four tandems. We did 13 loads and 164 jumps. As stated elsewhere there were LOTS of B-Rels done,

The SQPC Judges all arrived as well, set up their judging equipment and posted the competition rounds. Things suddenly were getting serious!

…and by the end of the day it was over. Freefly was well under way as well. In amongst it all we did another 5 tandems and Wayne Lyngkuist was back for stage 4 AFF. The perennial Dave Schmuttermaier was also into it.

Thanks to Charlotte, Phil, Justin, Kayla, Marios, Wade, Lisa, Wade and Amandine for helping out , and also to all the “extras”. Hope it all works out. But the day belonged to Competition and it was fast and furious.
The Channel 9 chopper rocked up...

...and collected footage and we were on the news Saturday night. 84 people did jumps and Homer did 17 loads.
Sunday was just about as busy, 14 loads. The weather was good and the competition continued with Freefly and 8-Way FS

There were only 15 loads flown. It really was one of the best Queensland champs held for a long time. Special mention to Allison Mitchell for organising an 8-way scratch team that came second! Marios was at the DZ for his last jumps in Aus before he heads back to Cyprus, Greece. His last load Sunday was an emotional affair. Sorry to see you go old mate. Hurry back. Lisa has sent in all the team names, scores and final results.
Congratulations to all concerned; Belgy the Organiser, the Judges, the pilots, the manifesters, the caterers, the cleaners and the competitors and video photographers. And thanks to everyone for having fun at our DZ.

And then it was Pub Night and Wade’s house-warming party, what a night! Monday was a day off for everybody after more than 10 days’ of solid jumping.
But it was back to work Tuesday. We had three First Jump Course students; Monte Pierce did the Static Line Course and Matt Young and Jibril Tan (from Singapore) started their AFF training. Rebecca did a successful B-Rel 9,...

Ramblers Learning Curve Camps are personalised mini-boogies specifically designed for A-F licensed jumpers ie. low experience level jumpers who are wanting to increase knowledge and awareness, gain experience, achieve licences and ratings and try new things in a safe and fun environment, plus experienced jumpers wanting to try new things, new camera flyers and jump pigs wanting to get on heaps of midweek loads.
